2024 WINTERNATIONALS PREVIEW

Welcome to Willowbank raceway for day 1 of Qualifying, We have 12 cars trying to make the 8 car field.

Pro Stock will be on Track for Q1 at 1:50 PM

Rob Dekert is currently leading the championship and looking to claim his first Pro Stock title after joining the Pro ranks in early 2019. Ever since stepping up to Pro Stock the team have progressively worked their way up to the front and now have the opportunity to be claimed champions.

Right behind Dekert in the championship is Rick Chilton who is also looking to claim his first Pro Stock championship, ever since the DonRic team purchased the Avenger they have really stepped up their program and are looking for that #1.

John Barbagallo is back in the Pro Stock paddock after a little over a year layoff, he set some good numbers in the winter warm ups and looks to continue his form going into the weekend.

Another driver returning for this years Winternationals is Wayne Daley who wants to be competitive and set some good times with his Dodge and his new engine program.

Ray Oxley is looking to continue improving his personal bests. The team have continued to get faster every time they hit the track and look to do the same this weekend.

Bill Perdikaris is back in the field after fronting for the first round of the championship at the rained out Australia Day Nationals and will be flying the ford flag in his Escort this weekend.

Tony Polito will be on the premises this weekend with their Ford Escort, The team picked up good points in Sydney after their troubles at The Bend and would like to continue where they left off.

Omar Sedmak looks to gain a home track advantage this weekend and finish strong in the championship, after a trying weekend in Sydney for the team they look to pick back up and go rounds come Sunday.

Aaron Tremayne needs no introduction into a Pro Stock field, the 9 time Pro Stock champion looks to secure another Winternationals win this weekend.

The second of the Tremaniac Racing cars Tyronne Tremayne is currently the reigning Winternationals winner. After winning the event in 2023, he is definitely not looking to give up that tittle.

Shane Tucker is back on home soil this weekend for the Winternationals. The Car/Driver combo have already won a Winternationals together and will no doubt turn heads in their gorgeous Klip Payments GXP

The Mario Polito Motorsports team is in attendance this weekend and after testing at the Winter warm ups last weekend they are looking to have a good weekend with their new engine package.
