National record holder Lee Bektash will celebrate 10 years since his 200.14MPH pass in November this year. Set in November 2014 which still stands till today is a feat unknown in Australian record books. When asked how he felt about it he said “I have dedicated my life to God and live and breathe religion. When you’re dealing with mother nature, luck and time, God plays the biggest part in all of those factors and we got rewarded from 2014 to current times, seems like a miracle doesn’t it”.

The factory backed Mopar team was always destined to do great things in Pro Stock and with the 10 years spent together their impact in the class is still being felt till today. When asked what the highlight of his Pro Stock career was Lee replied. “One word, my Mopar family and supporters. From buying merchandise and always keeping me positive, reminding me of their support and backing of myself and the Mopar flag at every meeting”.
After retiring from the class in 2017, Lee responded to questions of a comeback by replying “Most likely not, my boys love life travelling and Aussie rules footy, so at this stage it’s a no but who knows, never say never.”
“I would just like to thank everyone for my racing journey, my crew for their hard work throughout the years. I would like to wish everyone the best and that those who believe in the higher power will be better off”
