Rob Dekert

UNIQUE RACING READY FOR ROUND 2 OF PDRC ASSAULT

After a narrow defeat in the Pro Stock final at Sydney Dragway, defending Pro Stock Champion Rob Dekert is determined to make a strong comeback at Round 2 of the PDRC/NDRC championship at South Australia’s Dragway At The Bend on February 8-9. aiming for a good performance which could see him return to the top of the leaderboard.

Dekert showed impressive speed in Sydney,

Claiming low ET and high MPH with a 6.955 and 198 mph but missed out on the win due to a narrow hole shot. With limited track time after weather disruptions, the Unique Racing team was still pleased with the car’s performance, but Dekert admits driver error was the deciding factor.

“We had a great car that weekend, but I was too cautious on the light. I’ve been working hard to sharpen my reaction times and stay consistent for the rest of the season,” Dekert said.

Dragway At The Bend is known for its ideal conditions and record-breaking potential, thanks to its below-sea-level altitude. Dekert, who has done well at the venue previously, is eager to return.

“We’re excited to race there again. The conditions are perfect for quick times, and the track is one of the best around,” he said. “If the weather cooperates, we’re confident we can put down some great runs.”

Currently sitting second in the championship, Dekert and his team are determined to reclaim the points lead and keep their title hopes alive.

“I would like to thank Unique Body Smash Repairs, ETS Race Fuels Australia, Ridgeway Motorsports, Plucka’s Racecraft, Outlaws Images, Boozoom Alcohol, Jat’s Automotive, Nexus Pools, Custom Engines, Powerup Electrical Solutions for their support”
